Our Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is selected from all of our lots of Cabernet.
These are the lots that have softer tannins and a more gentle structure.
Our fruit sources are limited to just a handful of vineyards that we have worked with for
a long time, and we don’t go outside of these to purchase lower priced fruit.
Instead, these are the barrels with an overall approachability earlier than our
vineyard designated wines.
As with our Oregon State Pinot Noir, this wine is most often found in a restaurant
by the glass. It also makes a nice everyday wine.
This is classic Cabernet that is soft and creamy and approachable with no edges,
yet with all of the Cabernet characters you wish for. Lush, dark, and brooding fruits
combined with saddle leather, dried tobacco, and a tiny hint of espresso all present
themselves in a sophisticated, totally serious mouthful of wine.
