The 2015 vintage was hot and furious. Willamette Valley sprouted the fastest I know.
Temperatures were mostly above average during the summer.
Then, in late August and September, temperatures dropped and rain showers allowed us to take a much-needed break.
The result was excellent flavor development and grape maturity. 2015 growing season started earlier, with fruit 1-2 weeks longer than 2014
It was hanging on the vines.
Freedom Hill Vineyard has its own nuances of dark cherry, blueberry and raspberry combined with a delicate mix of both fresh and dried flowers.
With hints of forest soil, the result is an elegant wine with fruit, aromas, acidity and tannins.
A very classic Pinot Noir.
