– Tasting Notes
Rich aromas of ripe blueberries and red fruits fill the nose, interwoven with vanilla bean, black pepper, and baking spices. The palate opens with juicy, fresh strawberries and cranberries, followed by rich plum and blackcurrant fruit flavors, interspersed with subtle hints of sage, cocoa, clove, and wet stone. These layers deepen, leading to a lingering finish of ripe pomegranate.

– Vintage Overview
The 2021 vintage will be remembered for its deep-colored, flavorful grapes, resulting in a concentrated, balanced wine with excellent aging potential. Following a warm spring, record-breaking heatwaves hit in late June, resulting in a sudden surge in temperatures. Hot weather continued through late August, but finally cooled, providing an ideal harvest. The fall weather was perfect, with Columbia Valley’s characteristic pattern of warm days and cool nights allowing the grapes to ripen beautifully.
